About The Noor Center

 Light | نُور | Ligero 

The Noor Center hopes to be a masjid where Muslims can build community with others who share similar values. We aim to be a source of Noor (Light) for our own families and help Germantown Maryland become a better place.  The Noor Center is a community project from MAS Maryland.  Visit us at www.masmd.org for more information.

Masjid Construction Project

  • We are currently in the process of working with the county to change the use of the property

  • The immediate Phase I plan is to re-model the property to host 50 congregants including, but not limited to the following: 

    • Commercialization of the 1st floor

    • Structural, mechanical, and electrical upgrades 

    • Considerable plumbing upgrades to include new bathrooms and wudu area

    • Development of handicap access throughout the facility

    • New parking spaces  

    • Landscaping and fencing

    • New HVAC system to serve the upgraded areas

    • A comfortable prayer hall and multi-purpose space
